You taste like Heaven
Ever get the feeling that the world never seems fair? Everyday I'm forced to be reminded of that tragic piece of knowledge. How is that that me, person who is deathly afraid of vampires and hates the other species wound up going to this academy? I didn't ask to be sent here for school, that was the doing of my foster parents. Did they really believe the whole, 'species peace' bull they're feeding us here? Building the perfect civilization? I feel like I'm stuck in detention every second I spend in the halls of the school.
Today was just one of those days where I couldn't survive staying on school grounds for another moment. So I took my leave and headed to here; the park. With the sun's protective rays surrounding me, the threat of vampires lurking was diminished. It's really amazing how much security I'm granted when the sun is shining full force. Whenever I graduate I'm moving to a sunny place. For a while I thought about Alaska. You know, sun shines all day and all night? That plan was destroyed after the movie 'Thirty days of Night' was released. The largest state didn't seem so safe after reading the summary of the movie. Like Hell I was going to actually sit down and watch the movie.
Wandering down the path in my black converse and comfortable blue jeans, I felt all the stress from school dissipating for the time being. Once I set foot on School grounds, it would all come flooding back as if the great flood was taking siege upon the world once more. Maybe it would cleanse all the non-human species from the planet and grant us humans freedom from them. With all my soul I want to say humans are the supreme species on the planet, but it'd be a lie. If anything, we're the most delicate and breakable. Unlike the the vampire, we don't have their powers of control, or the werewolf's strength. I hate admitting out loud that they're better. Especially around the creatures. Don't want to give them the satisfaction of hearing it.
A few other people were in the park. One couple had a Golden Retriever playing fetch with a frisbee. They seemed to be having a great time, laughing and giving the dog praise before launching the toy back out into the field. The dog rushing after it in a trained fashion. They seemed happy of their 'Apple Pie life.' I don't think I'll ever have that life. I hate the feeling of being tied down. Continuing on my way, I finally discovered the perfect place to go. Wandering off the path, I maneuvered across the open field towards a small cluster of trees. After making sure there wasn't anyone, or anything, visible to be around, I took a seat next to a tree. Allowing a content sigh escape from me I looked up through the leaves, finding the comforting sun still present. Now I could properly de-stress myself; listen to music. Pulling my ipod from my pocket I put the buds in my ears and zoned out to the shuffled songs. I was so far gone I didn't notice the sound of approaching steps..
but God knows you're built for Sin
