`COME ON AND GRAB YOUR CHILDREN!
[/font]For the second time this week, Aioden met the sun's rising glow upon concrete paths. The calm strain of a morning jog was the young angel's only option to make his day come back from Hell. Highly doubtful, he thought as he turned past the park entrance, ending his third lap around the meadow area. Pace decreasing to a walk, Aiden released himself from his trance like state. Pausing his pocketed ipod, pushing all his mediated problems behind his armored walls, he was ready for the rest of the world to wake. Hopefully in a better fashion then his own.
Threading fingers through his ebony hair the recent nightmare fought to replay itself in his mind. Having woke like he was in a horror movie; heart pounding panic, the last thing Aiden wanted was to remember the images of his past. The decision came quickly after his sudden burst of adrenaline of launching from his sleep. Now, figuring his run hadn't been enough, the ipod was allowed to play as he took his leave from the deserted park.
As the sun grew in diameter and intensity, barren streets sluggishly became to trickle with life. Able to count the two other bodies on the sidewalk with himself, Aiden felt at home in on this empty sidewalk. Letting the music drown out any straying unwanted thoughts, Aiden lost himself in the walk towards one of his favorite places. Who couldn't love the best coffee shop in the entire city? It was habit to grab a cup of caffeine after his runs.
Turning onto Maine Street, Aiden could see the small, warmly lit shop on the corner up ahead. Welcoming chocolate and tan hued canopies hung above the windows that usually had tables setting out along the sidewalk. Being only thirty minutes past sunrise they were yet to be set up. A few other early birds exited the door. Coffee in one hand, briefcase in the other the suit dressed business man took off in long strides towards the downtown area. It was easy to see Aiden wasn't anything like the quick moving man. In running close, rather than a suit is one of the largest visible differences. Another appearance was Aiden's rare, but hypnotizing eye color. The crystallized azure glistening brightly in the correct lightning. They set him apart from all others.
Grasping the handle, Aiden was greeted with the intoxicating aroma of coffee beans and melted chocolate. The scent relaxed the tension that had been building in his mind for days now. Aiden was a caffeine addict and was no where near ready to kick the habit. Placing the ipod on pause and removing the buds from his ears, Aiden stepped up to the counter ready for his usual. The woman at the counter smiled as she graciously took his order. Not having a line to tend, she tried for some small talk. To be honest, Aiden hated social contact and could barely keep himself from stumbling out of the conversation with her. When handed his cup of steaming hot coffee, Aiden accepted it like an award for holding a tiny conversation for longer than two minutes.
Moving away from the counter, after telling the woman thank you, blue eyes scanned over the shop. There were enough open tables for the peace meeting between the angels to be accepted here. Doubtful that day will be any time soon. Out of every person sitting, there was only one who looked his age. A girl who seemed different then the rest. No, she didn't look different, but the aura that drifted from her was that no human could ever muster. The aura sang angel from across the room. From habit, Aiden became cautious, not knowing anything about her, she could be anyone. It wouldn't be a shock if she turned to be an enemy. Keeping his composer, Aiden headed towards a booth to sit and enjoy his coffee.
